Thank you very much! ;)
I think this song is great. The only thing holding it back
is the poor quality patches being used..it becomes quite evident during long sustained notes.
As far as actual musical composition and melody go...this is a really great song showing your capable of far more if given the right instruments.
Cheers
Thank you for the comment/rating, it's appreciated! You are right about the quality of instruments used - I don't typically use VSTi, just an old soundfont, SGM (which is admittedly the best I've encountered for both composition and old games like Monkey Island 2) but I agree that if I had access to either better compositional tools or even live instruments/recording technology, a composition like this would of course benefit further. I suppose it's a bit like Frank Zappa on the Synclavier - compelling stuff, but when the Ensemble Modern took that shit in hand, we ended up with the better tracks off Civilization and of course the Yellow Shark. ;D
The buildup is decent and the lyrics feel pretty controlled everything seems nicely balanced until
the dubstep comes in...I don't even really qualify this as dubstep personally.
Its understandable that dubstep is a popular form of music (right now) and many electronic producers wanna jump on board but personally I feel although you have skill in techno/dance but your techniques in dubstep need some improvement.
I have been doing this for a while ( about 2 years now for dubstep, and 5 for music in general). I typically don't have a four-on-the-floor beat to it. This is what would be considered brostep, for the most part. It is still a subgenre of dubstep. I recommend you listen to my other stuff to get a sense of what I do. I tend to go to many genres, anyway.
I appreciate the input, though. I like putting spins on different genres, and since this is closest to dubstep, that is what I put it under.
I really like the start nice melody and variation
the drums sound a little akward because they are so slow
not matching the tempo/pitch of the rest of the song.
Otherwise..its recorded nice and sounds pretty good man.
Thanks for the review! Yes.. the drums are too slow... they don't match the exciting of the song.
May I'll upload a version with a better/more fitting Drumbeat!

thanks for granting me access to this sweet song.
you are a fine musician, a kind soul, a loving father and one hell of a golf player!
I salute you sir and may good fortune follow you wherever you may go.
You are most welcome in newgrounds.com . Thank you very much.

Haha thanks :D
Step aside Skrillex!
I personally feel asthough this song is a direct representation of how I feel about music
in the 2000's
This song is art.
thank you soooo much! =D
I don't think I'm like Skrillex X) but anyway thank you for the review! Glad you liked it!
Sorry for my english....
nice work
I think your classmate will like this track you put together mate.
What more could they possibly want?
p.s headphones wreck your ears man...throw em away before you go deaf..
Yeah, he said he liked it. I already recorded my part, thank god, time saver, but now he just needs to record his part which isn't too much. Yeah, I usually where them while pretty much producing for bass purpose and for recording so you don't get background hum and shizz. Thanx for the review!!!
lotta high end
i like all the melodies in this but you should remember to showcase a few of those low tones more.....give each part a time to shine.
keep it up..its original and sweet
thanks man, I've been listening back to this and have to agree, thanks for your input. When I do a final mixdown for this I'm going to change some things around. :)
